Gender roles reversed in sexist vintage ads by Photographer

Long ago, we can still picture the image of the loyal woman slogging and working all day, doing the household chores, taking care of the children and cooking for the husband like a slave. And at that time, there was lots of sexist vintage ads which were released which portrayed women as being most inferior to men. Well, this is no longer the case nowadays as women have been able to become independent and are no longer considered as slaves. Inspired by them, photographer and video editor from Beirut, Lebanon, Eli Rezkallah created a series called “In A Parallel Universe” where he switched up the gender roles portrayed in those ads to reveal the absurdity of such stereotypes with humor.
